At the beginning of the 20th century a tannery was standing on the bank of the river Polota on Pligovskaya Street. In 1910 P. R. Ilmer acquired the tannery and settled near it. In 1996 the archive of Ilmer was found. Documents of the beginning of the 20th century are of practical nature. There are letters with orders and supply of goods, cards with messages, business cards of business partners, a price list in this archive. Nowadays everyone can see these documents in one of the showcases in our museum.
