Born in Vitebsk. In 1937 he worked as the second secretary of Polotsk District Komsomol Committee, and the first secretary of Mozyr Oblast Komsomol Committee. From 1943 — secretary of the Polesie Underground CP (b) B Oblast Committee, from 1950 to 1953 — deputy chairman of Polotsk Oblast Executive Committee. From 1960 to 1971 he worked as the first secretary of Polotsk City Communist Party Committee. Personal Pensioner of All-Union's Significance since 1971.
He was awarded the Order of the October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labour, the Order of the Red Star, the Badge of Honour, medals, and diplomas of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR.
The title of Honorary Citizen of Polotsk was conferred in 1979.
