Born in Polotsk. Since 1940 he served in the Red Army. During the war — the commander of a special motorized pontoon-bridge battalion. Hero of the Soviet Union. Took part in the Victory Parades of 1945 and 1985. In 1947 — 1963 he took senior positions in Polotsk, Dokshitsy, Sharkovschina, Sirotin; in 1963-1991 — a mechanic at Polotsk Fiberglass Plant.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of the Great Patriotic War, 1st and 2nd degrees, medals.
The title of Honorary citizen of Polotsk was conferred in 1970.
