Newspaper «News of the Army Council of Soldiers „Deputies of the III Army and the Polotsk Soviet of Workers“, Soldiers „and Peasants“ Deputies»

It was published from November 1917 to February 1918 in Russian 5-6 times a week. The newspaper was about the life of the Polotsk citizens: about taking control of all enterprises of the city and property, about establishing production of goods and essential products, about those who do not want to live in a new way, about improving life and way of life of the working people.

Originally, the newspaper was called “The Voice of the III Army” and was issued by the headquarters of the 3rd Army of the Western Front, which was in Polotsk. After the capture of power by the Bolsheviks and the formation of the Polotsk Military Revolutionary Committee (the Revolutionary Military Committee), the newspaper “News of the Military Revolutionary Committee of the III Army” began to appear, and after the dissolution of the committee the publication became the printed organ of the unified Council of Workers', Soldiers' and Peasants' Deputies.

The last known issue of the newspaper was published on February 15, 1918, and ten days later, on February 25, German troops entered Polotsk and the issue was suspended. Only on November 22, 1918, on the second day after the liberation of the city, was the next issue of the newspaper.
