The medal "For work on the excellent implementation of the general mobilization of 1914"

Awards related to the period of the First World War were introduced and awarded not only for military merit and feats. In the exposition of the Museum of Local Lore you can see the medal “For the works on the excellent implementation of the general mobilization of 1914”.

The award was introduced on the 12th of February, 1915 by Emperor Nicholas II. It was awarded to those who participated in the planning and conduct of the mobilization of troops on the eve and at the beginning of the First World War, carriers of troops, military and medical supplies. From the 8th of December 1915 medals also began to be received by persons who conducted sports training for pre-conscription youth.
