Born in Polotsk. Took part in the First World War. Graduated from the military cavalry school in 1922. In the 1920s he held various management positions. In 1930-1934 he served in the Red Army as a military commissar, studied at Kharkov Aviation School, then worked in Mogilyov region. During the war he served as a chief of staff of the infantry regiment. Since 1949, he had been engaged at party work in Polotsk. Personal Pensioner of All-Union's Significance.
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner, three Orders of the Red Star and medals.
The title of Honorary Citizen of Polotsk was conferred in 1967.
